eBay's 2026 Update: 13.6% Base, $0.30/$0.40 Per Order

What changed

eBay's February 2026 seller update moved the two numbers every seller pays: the base final value fee in most categories went from 13.25% to 13.6%, and the per-order fixed fee settled at $0.30 for orders up to $10 and $0.40 above. Category exceptions (guitars at 6.7%, sneakers over $150 at 8%, the tiered tables) remain in place.

What it costs you

The delta is small per order and real at volume: on a $50 sale, the bump adds about $0.18 — a seller doing 500 orders a month pays roughly $90 more per month than last year. Remember the base quirk that amplifies it: the percentage applies to the order total including buyer-paid shipping and sales tax, so every rate increase lands on a bigger number than your item price. Across a year of sales, that base quirk matters more than the 0.35-point headline move.

What to check

  • Your category. The 46-tier table means your category may not be the headline rate — the full breakdown is on our eBay seller fees calculator, verified against the official page.
  • Store math. Basic Store subscribers pay 12.7% in most categories at $27.95/month — the gap against 13.6% widened slightly, so the store breakeven moved.
  • Your calculators. Any tool still showing 13.25% (or adding a PayPal fee) is stale — our changelog tracks every change with sources, and our eBay calculator was updated the day the new rates took effect. If you're mid-repricing cycle, re-run your numbers rather than trusting February's spreadsheet.
