Depop Fee Calculator (2026 Rates)
Zero commission, one processing fee, one optional ad fee — see exactly what a Depop sale pays you.
How Depop fees work
Depop's fee structure is the simplest in resale — and the most frequently misreported, because it changed completely in 2024 and its ad fee changed again in March 2026. This Depop fee calculator uses the current model, verified against Depop's official help center and dated above. Here is the whole picture in three layers.
Layer one: the selling fee is zero
Since mid-2024, sellers in the UK, US, and Australia pay no Depop selling fee at all — no commission, no final value fee, no listing fee. If you're reading an older guide that quotes a 10% Depop fee, it's from before the change. (The 10% rate still exists, but only for sellers outside the UK/US/AUS.) Every result from this Depop fees calculator shows the zero-commission line explicitly, so you can see we're not just forgetting it.
Layer two: payment processing is the real fee
The one mandatory charge is payment processing through Depop Payments (Stripe): 3.3% + $0.45 for US sellers (2.9% + £0.30 in the UK, 2.6% + $0.30 AUD in Australia). The fee base is the item price plus shipping plus any applicable taxes — so charging $10 shipping adds about $0.33 to your fee. On a $30 sale with free shipping, processing costs you $1.44, and you keep $28.56. That is the complete fee picture for most US sales.
Layer three: Boost, the optional 12% ad fee
Boost promotes your listing in Depop search and category pages. You only pay when a Boosted listing sells through the placement — but the price went up: for new listings created on or after March 23, 2026, the Boost fee is 12% of the item price plus shipping (when you don't use a Depop shipping label), up from 8%. Toggle Boost in the calculator before you decide: on a $50 sale, Boost takes $6 on top of processing, which turns Depop from the cheapest platform into roughly eBay territory.
The eBay acquisition question
eBay completed its acquisition of Depop on July 30, 2026. Nothing about fees has changed since, and historically acquisitions of this kind do eventually touch the fee book — eBay has every incentive to unify or at least rationalize the two structures. We monitor Depop's official fee page weekly; the moment anything moves, the calculator and our changelog update within days. If you're building a Depop-dependent business, that's a risk worth pricing in long before it lands.
Worked example: a $35 sale, with and without Boost
Numbers make the choice concrete. On a $35 item with free shipping: processing is 3.3% + $0.45 of $35 ($1.61), so without Boost you keep $33.39. Turn Boost on and the extra 12% costs $4.20, dropping you to $29.19 — a 17% total take that is suddenly no longer the cheapest option on the comparison strip. The lesson: Boost earns its fee when it wins a sale you'd otherwise lose, not as an always-on default. Toggle it in the calculator above and watch the strip reorder itself — that reordering is the whole decision in one glance.
Depop fees vs other platforms
Without Boost, Depop is the cheapest major resale platform in the US: about 3.3% + $0.45 versus Mercari's flat 10%, Poshmark's 20%, and eBay's 13.6% + $0.40. On a $50 sale you keep $47.90 on Depop, $45 on Mercari, $40 on Poshmark, and $42.80 on eBay — before shipping costs, which often matter more than fees. With Boost on, Depop lands mid-pack. Run the same item through the all-platform comparator to see your exact ranking.

FAQ
How much does Depop take from a $50 sale? ▾
For a US seller with no Boost: $0 selling fee, plus payment processing of 3.3% + $0.45 ($2.10 on $50) — you keep $47.90. With Boost enabled, add 12% ($6.00), leaving $41.90.
Is Depop really free to sell on? ▾
Depop charges no selling commission for sellers in the UK, US, and Australia. But "free" isn't quite free: every sale through the BUY button pays payment processing of 3.3% + $0.45 in the US. That's the only mandatory fee.
What is the Depop Boost fee? ▾
Boost is Depop's optional ad placement. Boosted sales pay 12% of the item price plus shipping (if you don't use a Depop label). The rate rose from 8% to 12% for new listings on March 23, 2026 — many older guides still show 8%.
Does Depop charge fees on shipping? ▾
The payment processing fee applies to the item price plus shipping and any applicable taxes, so yes — shipping you charge is inside the fee base. There is no separate commission on shipping, because there is no commission at all.
I sell outside the UK, US, and Australia — what do I pay? ▾
Sellers outside those three markets pay Depop's classic model: a 10% selling fee on the item price (excluding taxes) plus shipping if not using a Depop label, plus PayPal processing, which varies by country.
